Halalmix unites global innovation power for a new era of health at The 10th Erkang Global Symposium of Starch Capsule

On November 19, 2025, the 10th Global Symposium Starch Capsules commenced with great significance. Halamix International (Thailand) Co., Ltd. led a delegation of industry experts, researchers, and strategic partners from Thailand to participate in the event, held in Changsha, People’s Republic of China. The delegation joined as witnesses to this global gathering, which focuses on innovation and the technological transformation of plant-based starch capsule development.

ErKang Pharma, as a pioneer in the global plant-based capsule industry, opened the event by presenting a comprehensive overview of its 11-year developmental journey. The presentation highlighted the company’s continuous advancement in expertise, in-depth research into raw material and softgel machinery technologies, and its progress in overcoming raw material limitations, ultimately leading to the creation of a fully integrated industrial ecosystem.

During the technology showcase, the company’s leadership outlined the full technological framework of plant-based starch capsules and presented more than a hundred patents that form the foundation of their innovations—from raw materials to advanced manufacturing processes.
This technology has been internationally certified by NSF, the Vegetarian Society, Kosher, and Halal, enabling ErKang’s plant-based starch capsules to be widely used in more than 1,000 nutritional products across nearly 40 countries worldwide.

Attendees also explored the “Transparent Factory”, which guided them through the intelligent manufacturing system inside a Class 100,000 cleanroom. The tour demonstrated key production processes, showcasing pharmaceutical-grade manufacturing standards seamlessly integrated with advanced digital technology.

During the technical forum, experts from various countries exchanged insights on innovations and applications of plant-based capsules, while also praising Er-Kang Pharma’s product quality, technology, and industrial capabilities.

The symposium also introduced key products—Starchgel®, N-VGEL®, and Gellan Gum®—which attracted strong interest from global partners. These products feature a fully traceable production process starting from raw material sources, reflecting the standard of “quality control from upstream to downstream.”
